Responding to Quotes

When you receive a quote request, here's how to respond and win the job.

Viewing Quote Requests

  • Open Quotes in the Fixly app

  • New quotes appear at the top

  • Click to see full details
  • Quote Details

    Each quote shows:

  • Caller info — Name, phone number

  • Job type — What service they need

  • Notes — Any details mentioned on the call

  • Time received — How long ago they called
  • Sending a Response

    From the quote detail screen:

  • Click Message Customer

  • Type your response (pricing, questions, etc.)

  • Hit Send
  • The message is sent as an SMS from your Fixly number.

    Message Tips

    Be quick — Respond within an hour if possible

    Be specific — Include pricing or next steps:

    "Thanks for calling! Kitchen drain cleaning is typically $150-200. I can come out Tuesday at 2pm if that works?"

    Include a CTA — Make it easy to book:

    "Reply YES to confirm, or let me know another time that works."

    Conversation History

    All messages with the customer appear in a thread. You can continue the conversation until they book or decline.

    Quick Responses

    For common quotes, save time with templates:

  • Standard pricing for common jobs

  • Request for more info

  • Offer to schedule a free estimate
  • Following Up

    If they don't respond:

  • Wait 24 hours

  • Send a friendly follow-up

  • After 2 attempts, move on (mark as "No Response")
