Booking Conflicts

Fixly is designed to prevent double-booking. Here's how it works.

How Fixly Avoids Conflicts

Before offering a time slot, Fixly:

  • Checks your Google Calendar for existing events

  • Applies business hours filter

  • Adds buffer time between jobs

  • Only offers truly available slots
  • What Counts as "Busy"

Fixly treats these as blocked time:

  • ✅ Calendar events (any calendar you've shared)

  • ✅ All-day events

  • ✅ Recurring events

  • ✅ Events marked "Busy"

  • ❌ Events marked "Free" (ignored)
  • If a Conflict Happens

Rare, but possible if you book manually at the same time:

    Fixly's response:

"It looks like that time just got booked. How about [alternative time] instead?"

    Manual Bookings

If you book something directly in Google Calendar:

  • Fixly sees it immediately

  • Future callers won't be offered that time

  • No action needed on your part
  • Resolving Conflicts

If you end up with overlapping bookings:

  • Contact one customer to reschedule

  • Update the calendar event

  • The conflict is resolved
  • Tips

  • Keep your Google Calendar as your single source of truth

  • Mark personal time as "Busy" so Fixly respects it

  • Check your calendar after busy days to confirm accuracy
