Connecting Your Google Calendar

Connecting your Google Calendar lets Fixly see when you're available and book jobs directly into your schedule.

How to Connect

During onboarding (or from Settings):

  • Click Connect Google Calendar

  • Choose your Google account

  • Click Allow to grant calendar access
  • What Fixly Can Do

    Once connected, Fixly can:

  • ✅ See existing events (to avoid double-booking)

  • ✅ Create new events (when booking jobs)

  • ✅ Update event details (if a caller provides more info)
  • Fixly cannot:

  • ❌ Delete your existing events

  • ❌ Access events from calendars you haven't shared

  • ❌ Read event details beyond time/duration
  • Which Calendar Is Used?

    Fixly uses your primary Google Calendar by default. If you have multiple calendars, the primary one (usually your main work calendar) is where bookings appear.

    Checking Connection Status

    Go to Settings in the Fixly app. You'll see:

  • Connected — Calendar is linked and working

  • Disconnected — Click to reconnect
  • Disconnecting

    If you need to disconnect:

  • Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions

  • Find "Fixly" in the list

  • Click Remove Access
  • Note: Disconnecting means Fixly can't book jobs for you until you reconnect.

    Common Issues

    "Calendar not syncing"

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

  • Make sure you're using the same Google account
  • "Bookings not appearing"

  • Check you're viewing the correct calendar in Google Calendar

  • Bookings appear in your primary calendar
