How Partner Matching Works

When you can't take a job, Fixly can route it to a trusted partner. Here's the matching logic.

The Matching Process

When a caller needs a job and you're unavailable:

Step 1: Check Your Trusted Partners

Fixly first looks at partners you've explicitly added:
  • Same trade (plumber to plumber)

  • Serves the caller's location

  • Has calendar availability
  • Step 2: Trade Match

If no trusted partner is available:
  • Fixly looks for other Fixly pros

  • Must be the same trade

  • Must serve the area
  • Step 3: Location Match

The partner must serve the caller's area:
  • Based on their service area setting

  • Includes radius (5-20 miles)

  • Matched against caller's address/city
  • Step 4: Availability Check

    Before offering:
  • Checks partner's Google Calendar

  • Verifies they have open slots

  • Respects their business hours
  • Matching Priority

    | Priority | Criteria |
    |----------|----------|
    | 1st | Your trusted partners |
    | 2nd | Same trade + same city |
    | 3rd | Same trade + nearby |
    | 4th | No match (job not routed) |

    What the Caller Hears

    When a job is routed:

"I don't have availability, but I work with a trusted partner who does. Can I check if they can help you today?"

If they agree, Fixly books with the partner seamlessly.
